End :]

July 16th, 2009

This week was amazing. It was interesting, and I met tons of new friends. I first got to know my roommates: Simon, Shane, and Christain. Then I met some of my team: Mike, Dale, Scott {Rado}, Taryn {Tex}, Grace, and Kristine. Finally I got to know and become friends with Chloe, Samantha, and Ashley. I leave here with a great experience and even greater friends :]

Asking to much

July 16th, 2009

It all began as an introduction speech. It wasn’t bad, and we all listened. However, we were then hit with a barrage of speeches witch, combined with a lack of sleep, created the most gruling attack on our attention spands. Trying to stay awake while repetatively being speeched at was near impossible. The countless words said. Then you start to realize the little things; like how many “uh”s are said per minute. You might as well give us a toothpick to hit baseball. Now however, they have ended. Well…for the most part. There’s one left. It’s a good thing there are staff to wake you up, otherwise, it would be asking to much.

Rolling down the hill

July 15th, 2009

Today is Wednesday. The recent site crashes the past 2 days prevented everyone from blogging. By now we have already visited the newseum, the smithsonian museums of: american history, natural history, and space. We also went to the Smithsonian Art Gallery, the lincoln monument, the vietnam memorial, and the capital building. We have went on a night time tour across Washington DC. Last of all we have been to many, many speeches.

1st Day

July 15th, 2009

On my 1st day I was an hour and a half late, so I had already started behind. I went straight to a speech from Brian Lamb. It was pretty interesting. Then I had to get my room and key. I had to hurry to unpack. I had very little time. During unpacking I met my other 3 roommates. I share a room with Simon. ThereĀ are also Christain and Shane who have there own room. They vigourously complaned about the dinner food. I ate from McDonalds so it wasn’t a big deal for me.
